Bernat Klein Top and Skirt Set
Bernat Klein, a visionary Scottish designer whose career spanned five decades from the 1950's. The Selkirk-based designer and artist was an inspired colourist who had an individual and idealistic approach to textiles drawn from his bold and experimental abstract paintings and he won international acclaim for his dazzling textural tweeds. The textiles resulted in distinctive designs which had never been seen before and examples of his garments are on show in the Fashion and Style gallery at the National Museum of Scotland.
