This lovely vintage dress by Berkertex is from the 1970s.  Berkertex was known for producing glamorous evening dresses. In the early years, notable designer Norman Hartnell (the Queens favourite designer)created ready-to-wear dresses for Berkertex.  This dress has a velvet top and sleeves with a see through brocade skirt and half sleeves.

The company was especially recognised for its evening wear. Their dresses were characterised by distinctive designs and quality craftsmanship, making them superb choices for formal occasions.

It is marked as a size 12 but is actually more suitable for a size 10.
